"The Dept. of Mental Health and Mental Retardation Finance Division is responsible for coordinating and providing centralized accounting and financial services for the department." (1987-1988 Annual Report). This series consists of interdepartmental records of drug shipments to Mental Health Centers for use by patients who qualify for the indigent drug program. Included in this series are memoranda between the department and the centers in the state, material receipts from the centers indicating receipt of the drugs, and purchase orders for the drugs. Information available in the records includes the names of the drugs shipped to the centers, the amount of the drug shipped, the center receiving the drugs, and the cost of the shipment.
